Doyle Ross Huffman

Doyle R. Huffman, 72, of Crosby, died Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Triumph Hospital East in Channelview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 27, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Doyle was born November 22, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant, to parents; Grady Huffman and Ruby Fae Salinas, a former resident of Cookville, and has resided in Crosby for the past 59 years. He was a retired owner/operator of the Tall Pines package Store in Crosby and member of the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, archery, gardening, and carpentry. Mr. Huffman was preceded in death by his father: Grady Huffman and mother: Ruby Fae Salinas. He is survived by his cousin that was loved like a sister: Vickie Costilow of Crosby, aunts: Billie Embree and husband A. M. and Amy Talley, uncle: Harold Huffman, and numerous cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends.
