Dorthy L Brittingham

Dorthy Louise Brittingham, age 77 years and a resident of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Kingwood, Texas. She was born in 1935 at Nogalus Prairie, Texas to parents Jessie William and Ola Dee Davis who preceded her in death along with sister Hattie Faussett, brothers Edward Davis and Jessie Ray Davis, first husband Pete Sutton, second husband Dell Brittingham. Dorthy was married 34 years and widowed twice. Family gatherings were always made tastier with her home cooking; she loved to cook for her family. Her favorite hobby was yard work and home improvement. She always had a smile and a warm welcome. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her daughter Carolyn Louise Walker; son Guy Eric Sutton; sisters Gertie Jones and Delma Lois Barr; grandchildren Peggy Jessoné Walker, Eric Chase Sutton and Tyler Ross Sutton; nephews Gerald Wayne Duncan, Mike Faussett, and Hardie Ray Barr Jr.; nieces Nellene Strange, Diane Mansfeld, Ella Fae Napoleon, Pam Toupe, Cindy Orsak, and Cathy Melis; and many faithful friends throughout the years Visitation will be held Monday, April 01, 2013, 5:00-9:00 p.m., Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 02, 2013, 2:00 p.m., Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers include Eric Sutton, Landon Malone, Chase Sutton, Steven Malone, Tyler Sutton, and Ray Barr Jr.; honorary pallbearers Dale Orsak and Doug Melis.
