Dorothy A. Turner

Dorothy A. Turner was born March 13, 1937 in Parshall, North Dakota to parents, Louis Jasper Snyder and Martha Lesser Snyder. She went to her Heavenly Home on November 22, 2023 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 86.

Dorothy has lived in Cleveland for over 70 years where she was loved by everyone. She took great pride in taking care of others. If you were sick, Nanny would bring you soup. Nanny greatly loved her family and enjoyed all the precious time she spent with them. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Louis Jasper Snyder; mother, Martha Lesser Sensing; husband, Collins N. Turner; sisters, Pearl Barnes, Betty Painter, Olga Hamilton; brother, William A. Snyder. She is survived by her children, Deborah Turner, Norman Turner and wife Lydia, William Turner and wife Patti, Mitzi Grimes; sister, Carol Rushong and husband Loman; grandchildren, Doug Jones, Branda Turner, Amanda Newlon, Diedra May and husband Mark, Travis Turner, Jace Turner, Jessica Grimes; great-grandchildren, Janie Jones, Caitlyn Jones, Hannah Jones, Grace Grimes, Emily May, Kaycee May, Cami May, Jolee Newlon, John Wesley Newlon; great-great-grandchildren, Haeven Jones, Neveah Jones, Harlee Roberts; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service is scheduled for Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 3pm at the Bear Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Whittiker officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Travis Turner, Doug Jones, Mark May, Donald James, Jerry Ogle, Daniel Nabors. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hendrix Broadus and Marvin Roberts.
