Dorothy M. Bell Gibson, 78, of Dayton, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013, at the Liberty Healthcare Center in Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Dorothy was born March 2, 1935 in Somerset, KY, to parents; Goldie and Louella Parson Bell, a former resident of Baytown and Houston, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 14 years. She was a homemaker, of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed gardening, her pets, reading, and especially spending time with her family. Mrs. Gibson was preceded in death by her father: Goldie Bell, mother: Louella Parson Bell, stepson: Clyde Gibson, Jr.. She is survived by her husband of 61 years: Clyde Gibson, Sr. of Dayton, daughters: Tonya Cox and husband Michael of Dayton, Ada Chastain and husband Gary of Crosby, Joy Watrous and husband Ray of Cleveland, and Gail Polasek and husband Dietmar of Dayton, sons: Gary Gibson and husband Jim of Dayton, and Bobby Gibson and wife Terri of Shepherd. Grandchildren: Aaron, David, Fallion, Dylan, Rachel, Drexel, Sandra, Jennifer, Jason, Lindsey, James, Leslie, Ronald and Melisa, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
