Dorothy Louise Davis

Dorothy Louise Davis, age 89, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away, Sunday, October 16, 2011 in The Woodlands.          The family will welcome family and friends for visitation Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.   Rev. Carl Williamson will preside over funeral services being held Thursday, October 20, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 816 N. Blair St., Cleveland, Texas with interment following at Montague Cemetery.  Honorary pallbearers include Ted Younger and Melvin Eason.          Mrs. Davis was born June 23, 1922 to parents, Omer Thomas and Ima Lola Collins who preceded her in death along with her husband, Jack A. Davis; and her daughter, Betty Lou Jones.  She was a homemaker and loved spending time with family and friends.  She will be greatly missed and will remain in the hearts of all those who loved and cherished her.          Survivors include her daughter, Ruthie Mae Chapman; sons, Thomas Davis, Alvin R. Davis and wife, Deb, Erwin D. Davis, Melvin E. Davis and wife, Anne, Charles A. Davis and wife, Christine; sister, Mary Helen Eason and husband, Melvin; countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.
