Dorothy Laverne Jordan

On Saturday, November 3, 2018, Dorothy Laverne Wiley Jordan, loving mother of two children, passed away at the age of 78. Dorothy was born on February 17, 1940 in Zwolle, Louisiana to Thomas Wiley and Christine (Perry) Ebarb. On July 1, 1961, she married Victor Lampton Jordan. They raised two children, Terri and Allen.

Dorothy had a passion for her church, traveling, and shopping. She attended church every time the doors opened, and she traveled far and wide in her lifetime. She was known for her kindness, sweet voice, and witty replies. She was the definition of a true lady, a lovely mother, and a wonderful grandmother.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas; her mother, Christine, her step-father Perkins Ebarb; her three brothers: James, Tommy, and Bobby; her sister, Cathy; and her husband Victor. She is survived by her children, Terri and Allen; her grandchildren, Leslie and Mark; her brother-in-law, Danny; her nephew and niece, Danny and Felicia, her great-nephews Lee and Christopher, great-niece Ruby, and great great-niece and nephew, Zalalia and Evan and several cousins.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Dayton First Assembly of God Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. before the service. Graveside service will be at 9:00 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery.
