Dorothy Delores (Trout) Watt passed away at the age 84 years. She passed peacefully at home, holding her husband's hand, surrounded by family, shortly after her last grandchild made it home to say goodbye.
Dorothy was born in Poland, IN July 28th, 1935 to William T. Trout and Ruby Viola (Hunsicker) Trout, both which proceeded her in death.
Dorothy and John William Watt united in marriage on June 21st, 1958 at Cameron Christian Church with John's maternal grandfather, Rev. William Cross, performing the ceremony. To this union were born four children.
Dorothy taught with passion, PreK - 12th for 42 years; in Galesburg, Peoria, & Strong Hurst, IL, Houston & Cold Spring, TX, and South Point, OH (where she was also the principal of a private handicapped school). She was an active member in church, especially in the choir and music departments, which she encouraged all of her children to participate in as well. Dorothy was also an avid crafter: sewing, knitting, crocheting, and painting wooden toys her husband made.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, John, and four children, John Watt Jr & wife Kathy, Nanette Martinez & husband Carlos, Michelle Chamberlain & husband Alan, and Lynette Malone & husband Frank, 10 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 siblings: Walter Trout, Gladys Olson, Edna Leath, Thomas Trout, Patricia Fox, William Trout, and their families.
A Memorial Service for Dorothy will be held October 1st, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at 41 Cove Lane, Point Blank, TX 77364.
