Dorothy Pauline Chambers

Dorothy Pauline Chambers, 78, of Cleveland, TX., joyfully entered in to Heaven's Gates in the early afternoon of November 27, 2024. She was born to Alexander and Corie LeGate in Galveston, TX on September 4, 1946. Her life here on earth was full of love, care, and happiness for her family. Her devotion was unmatched as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Dorothy's greatest treasure was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed singing to them, caring for them, and creating cherished memories. 

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jack Chambers, and their three daughters Laura Chambers, Phyllis Phillips and husband Ricky, and Penny Martin and husband David. She is lovingly remembered by her cherished grandchildren, Samantha Reis and husband Ramon, Jason White and wife Marissa, Chad White and wife Natalee, Macie Martin and fiance Baldemar Sandoval, and Megan Mendez and husband Nelson. Possibly the most difficult loss will be to her adored great-grandchildren, Lilianna and Lyondru Reis, Trayton and Teagan White, Cayden and Kelbee Franklin and Holden White, and Heidi and Hatti LaFrance and Baldemar Sandoval Jr. She will be dearly missed by her sisters, Joyce Countryman and Elizabeth Sutton, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of dear friends. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Pamela Chambers, her mother and father Alexander and Corie LeGate, sisters Carolyn and Viola, and her brother Timothy.

Dorothy continually reminded all of us that her spirit would always be with us in our hearts and, as she would say, "This is not goodbye, but until we see each other again, Ta-Ta."

Visitation for Dorothy will be Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
