Dorothy B. Wells Burnett, 94, of Cleveland, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Cleveland City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Dorothy was born October 7, 1917 in New Caney, to parents; William P. and Julia B. Blocker Wells, a longtime resident of the Cleveland area, and a homemaker. She was a graduate and salutatorian of the India Grace High School of Coldspring and member of the Central Baptist Church. She also enjoyed crocheting, church activities, cooking, fishing, and the outdoors. Mrs. Burnett was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: William E., R. D., Gerald O., Loyd N., and Floyd R. Wells. She is survived by her husband of 34 years: John R. Burnett of Shepherd, sons: Donald Ray Williamson and wife Loretta H. of Prairieville, LA and Larry Earl Williamson of Austin, grandchildren: Annette Leon, Shelly Renee Williamson, Christi Ann Jarreau, Russell Thomas Williamson, and Kathryn Michelle Bingham, great-grandchildren: Sofia Cedillo, Carissa Rollman, Scarlett Bingham, Ray and Evan Jarreau, and Autumn and Summer Leon, brothers: Lincoln Aubrey Wells of Cleveland and Leon Autrey Wells of Cleveland, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of usual floral remembrances, the family requests that memorials be sent to the Central Baptist Church at 615 Plum Grove Rd, Cleveland, TX 77327.
