Doris Faye Sarver Harrington, 86, of Kingwood, died Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with burial following at White Cemetery in Highlands. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.
Doris was born April 16, 1928 in Indian Bayou, Louisiana, to parents; Ernest and Cora Linscombe Sarver, a former resident of Houston as well as Dayton, and has resided in Kingwood for the past two years. She was a graduate of the Indian Bayou High School, a homemaker, and member of the First Assembly of God church. She also enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, and reading.
Mrs. Harrington was preceded in death by her father: Ernest Sarver, mother: Cora Linscombe Sarver, husband of 65 years: Linas Harrington, grandson: Richard Harrington, son-in-law: Donald LaPoint, brothers: William, Richard, Delaney, Norman, Ray, and Wilmer, and sisters: Isso, Inez, and Pearl. She is survived by her son: Stephen Linas Harrington of Kingwood, daughters: Jeanne LaPoint of Crosby, Carol Kane of Crosby, Cindy Sepulvado and husband Paul of Houston, and Paula Berkley of Crosby, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
