Donald “Sarge” Blake Pierce, 64, of Dayton passed away on September 8, 2022. Donald was born October 11, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Donald Gene Pierce and Melba Jean McDonald Pierce.
Sarge had lived in Dayton since 2000 and was previously of Houston. He attended O.D. Wyatt High School and proudly served in United State Army for 6 years. He worked for the Harris County Sheriff Department from 1983 until 2010 and he retired as a Lieutenant. Sarge enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on guns. He was very interested in politics.
Donald was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary Pierce; son, Nicholas Pierce; his mother, Melba Jean McDonald Pierce; brother, Todd Pierce and wife Kari; sister, Tammy Pierce Wanzor and husband Anthony; nieces, Stephanie and Jennifer; also other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service for Donald will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the Dayton Community Center under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers, https://t2t.org in memory of Donald.
