Donald Bryce Blevins was born on December 15, 1949 in Houston, Texas and passed away April 6, 2016 in Trinity, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Wyn Blevins, his brothers Jim and Toby Blevins and his beloved Uncle Elmer Wayne “Red” Blevins. He is survived by his children Donald, Jr. and wife Ashley, Avis Sotirelis and husband Christos, grandchildren Nikolas, Madeline and Luke Sotirelis, brother, Steve Blevins and wife Karen, and many other loving relatives and close friends. Bryce retired as Engineer Operator from the Houston Fire Department after serving the City for 39 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing in monthly poker games with his friends. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Brother, Father-In-Law, Brother-In-Law, Uncle and friend. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with his family and friends. Bryce would always drop what he was doing to help anyone at anytime. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 5pm - 8pm, and services on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 10am at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, TX. Interment will follow at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests donation to be made to Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 341.
