Donald Braxton Miller, 68, of Dayton passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home. He was born March 17, 1949 in Baytown, Texas to parents, John Miller and Doris Lurline Billings Miller.
Memorial service for Donnie will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 23, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Brigman officiating. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 at service time.
Donnie was a longtime resident of Baytown before moving to Dayton. He graduated from Sterling High School and had attended Robert E. Lee High School. He proudly served during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He had worked as a welder and pipeline inspector for Meridian before his retirement. Donnie enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and most of all fishing. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Donnie was preceded in death by is father, Harold Sturrock; his grandparents, Birtha Lee Billings and Clim Billings; brother, Ronald Wayne Miller. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deborah Lynn Malin Miller of Dayton; his mother, Doris Lurline Sturrock of Baytown; his daughters, Stephanie Mason and husband Bill of Dayton; Melissa Moore and Wade White of Dayton; grandchildren, Ryan Mason and Kelsey, Alec Villyard and Monique, Nicholas Mason and Rheagyn, Katelyn White, Hannah Moore, Allie Moore, Gavin Moore, and Kalen Villyard; great-grandchildren, Landon Mason, Jep Blanchard, Parker Blanchard, Addisyn Moore, Zane White, and Marvel Villyard; sister, Patty and David Masters of Alabama; Sister-in-law, Polly Miller and Charlie; nieces, Paige Miller and Kelly Ochoa, Jessica and Jeremy Moses and son Owen; nephews, Kenneth and Katie Masters, Russell Masters and Jenifer Hobbs, and Clint Masters Also numerous great nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
