Dona Jean Parker, age 60, of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 due to ongoing health issues that took this beautiful lady too soon. She was born and proudly adopted on November 30, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas to parents John B. Parker and Clara Mae Farrar Parker. She is preceded in death by her father, John B. Parker.
Dona Jean graduated from Deer Park High School in 1975. While living in Pasadena, TX, she had a long career with Houston Lighting & Power and San Jacinto College. Upon retirement, Dona Jean moved to Coldspring, TX to be with her mother, Clara. Dona Jean made the best lasagna and sweet tea, and absolutely hated snakes (sorry mom I had to put something about snakes in here). She enjoyed shopping and computer games, but most of all, she loved being ‘Nana,’ and spending time with her girls.
Survivors include her mother, Clara Mae Parker; daughter, Jenny Marie Price and husband Thomas; brother, Gerald Ray Parker; grandchildren, Kaylah Price and Sydney Price; nephew, Colton Parker; nieces, Kaci Parker and Kaylin Parker; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Coldspring, Texas. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
Upon her daughter's request she would love if you would fill out the online memorial book with any special memories you may have.
