Dollie Mae Wood

Dollie Wood went home to be with the Lord on May 5, 2013. To cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories she leaves behind a son George W. Wood; daughter Deborah Kirkham and husband Nelson Kirkham; granddaughters Kelly Adcock and husband Brandon Adcock, and Jennifer Kirkham; brother Robert Charles Cadwalder. Dollie is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Jimmie Wood; her parents Robert and Effie Mae Cadwalder; and two grandsons Keith and Kurt Kirkham. She enjoyed all of her church activities including her Sunday School class and the monthly meeting of the V.I.P. at Rural Shade Baptist Church. She also enjoyed her years as the owner of Dolly’s Ice Cream Parlor. Her other interests included reading, sewing, gardening, traveling with friends and family, and keeping up with the latest technology. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at Rural Shade Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas, with interment at Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flower remembrances, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Rural Shade Baptist Church, 3304 County Road #2274, Cleveland, TX 77327 or to your favorite charity.
