Dolan E. “Jack†Roe, 71, of Dayton, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 18, 2013, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services following at 1:00 p.m., Friday, at the Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jack was born November 19, 1941 in Alice, TX, to parents; Ottis Ara Roe and Alice Reed, a former resident of Houston, and has resided in Dayton for the past 37 years. He was a graduate of the Sam Houston High School, former bus driver for Coach USA, former electrician for Fisk Electric, and a retired pastor and member of The Church House. He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, research, and especially spending time with family. Mr. Roe was preceded in death by his father: Ottis Ara Roe, son: Christopher M. Roe, and brother: Ricky Roe. He is survived by his daughters: Danielle Mitchell of Dayton and Kendra Roe of Dayton, sons: Marcus Roe of Dayton and Dolan Rivette and wife Angela of Cut N Shoot, mother: Alice Roe Willis of Burnet, brother: Ara Roe of Nacogdoches, grandchildren: Kevin, Rachel, Lanie, Landon, Madison, Seth, Mason, Tristian, Bailey, Mitchell, and Audrian, great-grandchildren: Logan, Nathaniel, and Colton, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
