Devin Smith

Devin Olen Smith, age 31, passed away in Kingwood, Texas, on Monday, December 30, 2024. He was born on August 25, 1993, in Pasadena, Texas. Devin grew up in Liberty, Coldspring and Dayton, Texas, graduating from Dayton High School in 2012. Most recently, he lived in Porter and Kingwood, Texas.

Devin enjoyed spending time with his family, camping at Garner State Park, paintball, video games, and watching movies, especially Star Wars. He also enjoyed going on dog walks with Beethoven and playing with the family’s new pug Peppa.

Devin is survived by his mother, Tonya Stiles of Coldspring, Texas; his father and stepmother, Michael and Amanda Smith of Kingwood, Texas; siblings Olivia Cangemi, Johnathan Smith, Nathan Cangemi and Justin Smith; his grandmothers Geneva Smith and Lynn Stiles; and many loving uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Patsy McCreight, Vance Stiles and the Rev. Charles Smith. Devin will also be dearly missed by his girlfriend, Reyne Dearbone.

A service will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 1304 N Cleveland Street, Dayton, Texas, 77535, on January 4, 2025, at 2pm, with the Rev. Alfred Espinosa officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton, Texas. Preceding the service will be a visitation hour at the funeral home, starting at 1pm.
