Denis George Ellis

Denis George Ellis, age 80 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 02, 2012 at Conroe Regional Medical Center. He was born January 02, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Joseph Ellis, Amy Ellis and Eugene Boismier, who preceded him in death along with his son Chip Ellis; daughter Jo Anne Passa; grandson Dennis Marmon Jr.; sisters Mary Jo Burks and Suzie Mullen. Mr. Ellis has been a resident of the Cleveland Community for 17 years. He was a distinguished Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War, with respectful gratitude for a life shared and now blessedly at rest, and with heartfelt praise in memory of Denis George Ellis, he will always be remembered. He was a lifetime member of the Veteran's Post 1839. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and steadfast friend; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.He leaves his memories to his loving and devoted wife of 49 years Dona M. Ellis; his daughters Jodi Ellis, Kelly Marmon and husband Dennis Marmon; son Jay Ellis; sisters Ann Margaret Thrift, Sharon Tracy and Mickey Routhier; his brother James Boismier; grandchildren Mamie Lamas, Melisa Harden, Jamie Frazier, Kristen Ellis, Kyle Ellis; great-grandchildren Thersa, Ashley, Zoe, Jaden, Jeromy, Maddison, Nevin, Shawn, Dylan, and Isabel; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years.Bro. Mike Minter will preside over memorial services being held Friday, August 10, 2012, 1:30 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
