Delbert Dean Joyner Sr. of Shepherd, TX was born October 23, 1953 in Houston, Texas and passed away May 3, 2012, at the age of 58 years –old. He was preceded in death by his father George Delbert Henderson. He is survived by his mother Buna Henderson; son Delbert Dean Joyner Jr. and wife Kristin Joyner; grandsons Delbert Dean III and Wyatt Joyner; granddaughters Madilyn and Layla Joyner, and Keely Sammons; daughter Laurie Marie Roane and husband Tommy Roane; grandsons Clayton and Kaine Roane, with one grandchild Krockett Roane expected December 2012; brothers Charles Joyner and wife Marilyn of Moss Hill TX, George Henderson and wife Lisa, Kim Henderson and Kristen of Weatherford, TX; sisters Debra Henderson, Theresa Smith and husband Gil, Buna Jones and husband Matt, and Rhonda Henderson of Gladwell TX. He is also survived by many wonderful friends, and numerous nieces and nephews. Delbert was a former U.S. Marine, a retired Deputy Sheriff from Harris County, and was an active member within the Masonic Lodge of Shepherd, TX. Delbert left this world doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle. He will be sincerely missed, but we will all reunite one day with him in heaven. We Love You Daddy!! Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 08, 2012, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Bishop Gerald F. Reeves will preside over funeral services being held Wednesday, May 09, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel. Graveside services will be held Wednesday afternoon, 3:30 p.m. at Weches Cemetery, (go northeast Hwy 21 out of Crockett toward Weches, Texas, go through Wesches, turn left on CR 1580, look for cemetery sign). Funeral services held under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas.
