Delaney Ray Galloway, age 76, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010. He was born in Providence, Texas on May 11, 1934 to Curtis Galloway and Louise Galloway-Nelson. He is preceded in death by his father; step-father, “Jimbo” Nelson; sister, Vonnie Grooms; son-in-law Brad Snell; his special friends, Sam and Jane Powell. He was well know throughout the community as the owner and operator of Galloway Motors for many years. He will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include wife, Wanda Bell Galloway of Cleveland, Texas; mother, Louise Nelson of Livingston, Texas; son, Leslie Ray Galloway; daughters, Laneye Kaye Henderson and husband, Mike, Lisa Karen Millard and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Lauren and Will Prestridge, Ryan and Ashley Snell, Lindsay and Jared Burroughs, Casey Snell, Paige and Kevin Bonds, Shelby Millard, Jordan Galloway, Sydney Millard; great-grandchildren, Emma and Lily Prestridge, Kynlee and Bailey Bonds, Halle Galloway; brothers, James E. Nelson, Dehryl Galloway, Ronald Galloway, Lucky Galloway, Michael Laws; sister, Jimmie L. Forrest and husband, James; brother-in-law, Dough Bell and wife, Stella; special friends, Debra, Pamela and Dustin Powell; numerous nieces, nephews and other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 5, 2010, 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Rev. Carl Williamson will conduct funeral services being held Friday, August 6, 2010, 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas with interment immediately following at Camp Ruby Cemetery, Big Sandy, Texas. Pallbearers include Ryan Snell, Will Prestridge, Casey Snell, Jared Burroughs, Shelby Millard, Kevin Bonds; honorary pallbearers include, Bobby Cassity, Fred Jones, Carl Newman, Steve Barefield, Henry Patterson, Bobby Moffett, Gene Meleski, Joe White, and Colon Moore.
