Deborah Byerley West, 60, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 21, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Deborah was born December 23, 1953 in Dayton, to parents; John S. Byerley, Jr. and Bonnie Williams Byerley, a former resident of Cleveland, and has resided in Dayton for the past eight years. She was a graduate of the Lafayette High school class of 1972 and retired from Aldine ISD Child Nutrition Services. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her father: John S. Byerley, Jr., brother: John Curtis Byerley, paternal grandparents: John S. Byerley, Sr. and Valverdie Byerley, and maternal grandparents; James E. Williams and Ellene Williams. She is survived by her mother: Bonnie Byerley of Dayton, sister: Linda Byerley of Dayton, brother: Don Byerley and wife Karen of Broussard, Louisiana, son: Travis West of Cleveland, stepsons: Justin West and wife Alyssia of Cypress and Houston West and wife Sandy of Cleveland, step grandchildren: Katelyn, Madison, Dawson, and Leanne West of Cypress, and a beautiful legacy of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
