Dean C. “Chris†Campbell, 60, of Dayton, died Saturday, July 27, 2013, at the Liberty-Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at the Eastgate Church with services concluding thereafter. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the church. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Chris was born March 18, 1953 in Marietta, OH, to parents; Dean R. and Vera L. Briggs Campbell, a former resident of Baytown, and has resided in Dayton for the past 24 years. He was a graduate of Sterling High School class of 1971, attended Lee College, a painter for Union Tank Car (UTLX) of Sheldon, member of the Eastgate Church, and former Golden Glove Boxer. He also enjoyed motorcycles, horses, and especially spending time with his children. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his father: Dean R. Campbell, mother: Vera L. Briggs Campbell, brother: Joe Campbell, and sister: Melinda Campbell. He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Debra D. Grissom Campbell of Dayton, children: Dean C. Campbell, II of Austin, Lori Campbell of Liberty, Danny Campbell of Dayton, Amanda Campbell of Dayton, Justin Campbell and fiancé Hallie Harris of Dayton, Amber Campbell of Dayton, Julie Campbell of Dayton, Kayla Campbell of Dayton, Shelby Campbell of Dayton, and Travis Campbell of Dayton, stepdaughter: Jessica Howard and husband Ryan of Crosby, Godson: Clint “Jocey†Brown of Dayton, brother: Mike Campbell of TN, sister: Pamela Ledet of Atascocita, grandchildren: Bryleigh Campbell, Bryson Platt, and one on the way, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
