David Wayne Byers, age 57 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019. He was born December 23, 1961 in Compton, California to parents Wain and Sue Glass.
David was a hardworking man who took pride in his work. He built high end luxury apartments all over the USA. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching college football. His favorite team was the University of Texas Longhorns. David had a love of history. He was known for his big heart and his charitable acts. David was a religious man who loved God and accepted Christ in 2018. He was a member of the Country Cowboy Church.
Survivors include the love of his life, Connie Byers; parents, Wain and Sue Glass; sons, Timothy Cheary and wife Sherryl, Michael Cheary and David Byers, Jr.; daughters, Crystal Cavin and husband Brian, Denise Schuster and husband Stephen, Danielle Morgan and husband Nathaniel, Angela Gilbreath and husband Justin; brother, Kirk Byers and wife Diane; sisters, Loretta Byers, Sherry Ferguson; grandchildren, Cierra Schuster, Bailey Schuster, Annalyne Schuster, Morghan Schuster, Brina Schuster, Braden Schuster, Austin Cavin, Virgil Cavin, Garrett Cavin, Lucas Cavin, Susanna Cheary, Jocelyn Cheary and one on the way, Paisley Maria Morgan; best friend, roommate, and brother, Manuel Garza; best friend, Patrick Howerton; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Country Cowboy Church, Cleveland, Texas.
