David Murray Alpha

David Murray Alpha died in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 92.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Earthman Memory Garden Cemetery in Baytown, Texas. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton.
Mr. Alpha was born on January 20, 1925 in Baytown, Texas to Kathleen Boudreaux Alpha and David Wilcox Alpha. He was married to Anna Isabelle (Ann) Kretchmar on September 9, 1944. He served in the United States Navy from January, 1943 to December, 1945 during WWII. He served the City of Baytown for many years before his retirement. He had previously been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baytown.
David was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ann Alpha; his son, Richard W. Alpha and his sister, Kathleen Alpha Harrop. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Gordon and Helen Alpha; a sister, Jennifer Alpha Kimball; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Harry Hood; son and daughter-in-law, David B. and Patti Alpha; daughter, Gwen Alpha; daughter and son-in law, Angela and Michael Prescher; son, Robin Alpha; and son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Bonnie Alpha; 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
