David Louis "Junior" Langley, 62
David Louis "Junior" Langley, a beloved father, loving son, brother, and friend, passed away on September 8, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was 62 years old.
Born on March 27, 1962, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Junior was the cherished son of William Langley II and Mary L. Mason Langley. Junior grew up in Northshore before moving to Dayton, where he made his home for the past 25 years.
Junior was known for his deep love of fishing, his enthusiasm for watching football on Sundays, and his joyful participation in baseball during his youth. His fondness for dogs, including his beloved pets Astro and Mad Max, reflected his gentle and loving nature. A passionate motorcyclist, Junior enjoyed the thrill of the open road, and his love for gambling on his phone was a testament to his adventurous spirit.
A hardworking individual with a generous heart, Junior was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His commitment to helping others and his unwavering dedication to his work were hallmarks of his character.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Langley, and his sister Dolly Langley. Junior is survived by his father, William D. Langley II; his son, David Allen; his daughters, Candace Yvonne and Ivy Lexie Eve; his brothers, Billy Langley, Little Billy Langley, and brother-in-law Kenneth Bryant; his sister, Shelia Baker and her husband Gary; his nephews, Timothy Caza and Joseph Holmes; his nieces, Amanda Watson and Jenni Holmes; and his cherished puppies, Astro and Mad Max.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. A service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Junior will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and his unwavering support for those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
