David Frank Henson, Jr.

David Frank Henson, Jr., 46, of Brazoria, Texas went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 28, 2019. David was born July 7, 1973 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to parents David Frank Henson, Sr. and Edna Mae Hill. David was dearly loved and will be deeply missed - until we meet again.

Services for David will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton, Texas with his Aunt Mrs. Ellen Winegeart officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening August 2, 2019 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas. His body will be laid to rest immediately following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will be his Nephews Mark Fisk Jr., Nathan Fisk, Thomas Miller III, Cousins Mark Ryan, Joshua Wells and Mickey Zornes, Brothers in Law Thomas Miller Jr. and Joseph Durant.

While David was a current resident of Brazoria, Texas he was a long-term resident of Dayton and the Kenefick area where he met and married his wonderful wife Ronda and started his family. He attended South Houston High School in Pasadena, Texas where he was a member of the ROTC Program and a member of the swim team. He was fun loving and full of life. David was very close to his Mother whom he now joins in Heaven. He always loved the little things as a child like watching the Dukes of Hazzard and playing football.

David was a loving father and a hard worker. David was a talented fabricator and heat exchanger mechanic, he also worked in the trucking industry.

David loved a good Texas BBQ and to get together with friends and family. He loved to fish and watch college football with his dog, Orca. He was a lifelong Texas Longhorn fan.

David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Ardithe Irene Henson, James Milton Henson, John Henry Monk and Fannie Monk and maternal grandparents Ambie Ozie Hill and Colleen Hill as well as his mother, Edna Mae Hill Monk, his father, David Frank Henson, Sr., uncles, James “Jimmy” Milton Henson, Jr., Paul Henson, Russell Hill, James Hill, Billy Wayne Monk and Michael Monk, aunts, Phyllis Hill and Margaret Sue Hill.

David is survived by his Father, James Earl Monk of Dayton; his sisters, Jeanette Henson Wolfe and Husband Danny of Bay City, Texas, Sandra Jane Miller and husband Thomas Jr. of Angleton, Texas, Penny Jean Durant and husband Joseph of Dayton, Texas; brother, Jay Ice and wife Nancy of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; son, Jacob Michael Henson and wife Savannah of Danbury, Texas and their children-grandchildren, Keaton Isaac Henson, Kevin Michael Henson and Julia Ray Henson, Aaron Henson; daughter, Hannah Christine Henson of Angleton, Texas; uncles, John Henson and wife Patti of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Victor Henson of Denver, Colorado, Troy Monk of Glenmora, Louisiana; aunts, Louise Hill of Orlando, Florida, Carolyn Hill of Jasper, Alabama, Ellen Winegeart and husband Charles of Glenmora, Louisiana, Elaine Wells and husband Clyde of Dayton, Texas, Peggy Godley of LeCompte, Louisiana, and Patricia Gail Monk of Glenmora, Louisiana and step mother Virginia Henson of Angleton, Texas; honorary cousin Mark Ryan and wife Jennifer of Cypress, Texas among many other cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
