David Dewayne Whiteman, Sr., 53 passed away June 21, 2019 in Beaumont, Texas after an extended illness. David was born May 3, 1966 in Clarksville, Texas to parents David Ross Whiteman and Barbara Jackson Whiteman.
David had been a native of the Dayton-Old River area for many years. He worked in construction for over 30 years. He enjoyed being outdoors surrounded by family and friends and loved to bbq. He loved his grandkids very much! He loved old Ford trucks, cold beer, sweet tea, homemade spaghetti, his wrangler shirts and cowboy hat.
David was preceded in death by his father and his wife, David Whiteman, Sr. and Shirley Whiteman. He is survived by his parents, Barbara and Frank Kennedy of Baytown; his children, Kristal and Carey Glass of Wallisville, David Whiteman of Old River, Jami and Joey Aten of Seabrook, Stormy and Melinda Smallwood/Howard of Spring, Kacie O’Donnell of Houston, Blayne Whiteman of Old River, Jeena Solis and Zachary Solis; his grandchildren, Ivy Whiteman, Seth Arnold, Journey Glass, Mary Glass, Alyssa Simmons, Camrynn Simmons, Westlyn Jo Aten, Isabel Gomez, Joel Gomez, Layla Padilla, Estrella Benitez, Francisco Benitez, Scotty (Scooter) Bass, and Chevelle (Chevy) Mortenson; sisters and brothers, Brenda & Brandon Butler of Hooks, Eddie and Reatha Whiteman of Cookville, Michael and Mandy Whiteman of Hooks, Lester and Nova Smith of Dekalb, David and Rachel Smith of Simms, also lots of friends and co-workers.
