David Alsbrooks, 54, of Dayton, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Baytown. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton. David was born May 1, 1956 in Houston, to parents; Burl Vernon Alsbrooks and Nellie Lois Dove, a former resident of Lufkin, and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 13 years. He was a graduate of C. E. King High School class of 1976 and a former body man for B. J. Ford after six years of employment. He also enjoyed deep sea fishing, playing pool, gardening, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Alsbrooks was preceded in death by his father: Burl Vernon Alsbrooks and mother: Nellie Lois Dove Keever. He is survived by his wife of nine years: Ona Ragsdale Alsbrooks of Dayton, daughters: Devin D. Coker and husband Jerry of Teague and Cynthia Medina and husband Rene of Dayton, son: Brian Middleton of Dayton, stepmother: Dorothy Alsbrooks of Lufkin, brothers: Donald Alsbrooks of Porter, Michael Alsbrooks and wife Tammie of Highlands, Joe Alsbrooks of Dallas, Steven Alsbrooks of Dallas, and Larry Foyt of Crosby, sisters: Karen Davis and husband Rodney of Atascocita, Susan Butler and husband Johnny of OK, and Doris Peck of Kemp, grandchildren: Rebecca, Adriana, Kirsty, Kayla, Andrew, and River, great-grandchildren: Dylan and Zane, nephew: Stephen Alsbrooks, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
