DarlaVene "Dipsey" McCarty

DarlaVene “Dipsey” McCarty was born in Comanche, Texas on February 11, 1937 to parents, Clement Wayne LaRoque and Joilet Azalene LaRoque. She went to her Heavenly Home on February 6, 2024 in Cleveland, Texas at the age of 86. Dipsey loved to fish in Lake Livingston and loved to camp. She also was a welder and worked at Walmart until she was 77. Dipsey never met a stranger and everywhere she went was recognized by someone. She loved her family greatly and they will forever miss her great smile and her kisses. 

Dipsey was preceded in death by her parents, Clement Wayne and Joilet Azalene LaRoque; husband, Albert Eugene McCarty; brother, Clement LaRoque; grandson, Nathan White. She is survived by her beloved children, Dessa Arnold and husband Ron, Kipley Jordan, Sally Haarmann and husband Tommy, Ginger Tomplait and husband Aaron, and James Jordan; brother, James LaRoque and wife Sonya; sister, Sandra Kay Wheeler; 21 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other cherished family members and faithful friends throughout the years. 

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Monday, February 12, 2024 in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 11am with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd, Texas. Pallbearers for the service will be, Kelly Haarmann, Brandon Haarmann, Daniel Haarmann, Ryan Haarmann, Justin Jordan, Layne Haarmann, David Laughlin, Zachary White. 

Dipsey loved bright colors and the color purple. The family request you to wear bright colors or purple to the Celebration Service and also ballcaps are welcomed as well.
