Danilo Tala Santos, 79, of Dayton passed away on October 25, 2020 at home. He was born May 11, 1941 in Olongapo City, Philippines the son of Juan Villenueva Santos and Concepcion Tala Santos.
At the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served for 20 years. He then continued to work for San Diego City College for 25 years.
Danilo resided in Dayton for the past 15 years and previously lived in San Diego, California for 35 years. Danilo loved his family and took pride in cooking for them. His sense of humor was one of a kind. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially his Padres and was always ready to go to a casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Bueleta, Deli, Ben, Carino, Ceasar, Earnesto, Roger and Isagani.
He is survived by the love of his life, Connie Santos Gore and their children; Suzanne Carr, Rose (James) Collins, Danilo (Teresa) Santos, Jr., Randy (Sonia) Santos; his sisters, Lea (Roger) Demetrio and Sylvia (Robert) Pacleb; grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Daniel, Laura, John, Candace, Chere, Travis, Shannon, James, Jason, Elizabeth, Cristian and Noah; great-grandchildren, Athen, Travis, Killian, and Stella; along with many nieces and nephews.
A burial at sea ceremony will be held at a later date.
