Daniel Ta-Yeh Lu was born in Hong Kong. He was a beloved member of the community and volunteered in numerous activities and charities within his church as well as the FBI. He volunteered many years for the MS150 Bike Ride to Austin assisting riders in the Medical Van. He loved being with all the people and spending the night on the road! And who can forget his car pool Van family! We heard many stories about the HOV riders. Danny was extremely proud to be in the FBI as a linguist and photographer. He has received many awards from the FBI for his loyalty and dedication to his fellow associates but also to his country of choice, the USA. He was very proud to have gotten his citizenship many years ago. Danny was one of a kind and his life was a testament of how we should all live. He saw the best in people and helped everyone. He loved God and loved serving him. He was the Song Leader at Westside for many years. Danny frequently volunteered to take friends and family to doctor’s appointments and for years took the Lords Super to people at nursing homes when they were unable to attend Church services. He was a wonderful husband to his wife, Fran, of over 30 years. He was equally a beloved grandfather known as PoPo. He never missed a birthday or graduation or any significant event in their lives. Danny loved his family! He lead Praise and Worship at the Jasper Family Reunion every 4th of July! He loved having a big family, daughters, grandchildren, brother and sister in law, aunts, uncles, and many, many cousins and extended family and friends to be all in one place to have fun and love, and laugh. A camera was never far from him and a song was always in his heart. As Dan is standing beside you massaging your shoulders…. He would say… Don’t worry…. we’ll meet again
