Daniel O’Neil Gannon, Sr., age 73 of Splendora, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019. He was born December 30, 1945 in Brandsville, Missouri to parents Hila Brown and Claude Gannon who preceded him in death along with his loving wife, Linda Gannon; brother, Charlie Gannon; sisters, Kathryn Thomas and Kathy Gannon; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leola and Robert Ross.
Daniel was a longtime resident of Splendora and retired from Porter Ready Mix as a dispatcher. He had previously worked as a truck driver at Schill Steel for 25 years. He enjoyed hunting in Missouri and fishing whenever he could. Daniel loved his family and will be missed by all.
Survivors include his children, Daniel Gannon, Jr., Amanda Gannon and Kathy Gannon; grandchildren, Jeremy Gannon and wife Dee, Bridgett Rice and husband Greg; Karyna Ward, Justin Winborn, Corey Winborn, Cameron Dykes, Aiden Ferris, and Lily Ferris; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas, officiated by Rev. Carl Williamson. Interment will follow at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
