Danica N. “Dani†Bishop, 33, of Dayton, died Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Channelview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Liberty. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Dani was born May 26, 1980 in Bakersfield, CA, to parents; Jerry L. Bishop, Sr. and Karen R. Berka, and was a former resident of Liberty. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, attended Lee College, and attended the Maranatha Church. She also enjoyed fishing, singing, writing poetry, and especially spending time with her family. Miss Bishop was preceded in death by her father: Jerry L. Bishop, Sr., sister: Shauna Bishop, brother: Jerry L. Bishop, Jr., maternal grandparents: Ruth Jo Roundtree Dugat and Mike, and paternal grandparents: Rosie L. and Mack H. Bishop. Dani was also preceded in death by so many other family members that loved her including cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is survived by her mother: Karen R. Berka Mills and husband Calvin of Baytown, children: Syrus Norton of Baytown, Trace Owen of Cleveland, Ace Pacheco of Northshore, Annie Adams of Dayton, Maddie Adams of Dayton, and Harlee Adams of Dayton, sisters: Jo-Lee Brown and husband Ethan of Dayton, Ashley Stark of Liberty, and Kim Morrison of Ft. Worth, brothers: Stephen L. Bishop and wife Sheila of Seabrook and Douglas Bishop and wife Katy of Dayton, grandfather: Quincy Berka of Caldwell, step-grandmother: Laura Waldrum of Baytown, nephews: Cody Bishop, Kolton Bishop, Aron Shellhammer, and Layton Shellhammer, nieces: Shaana Bishop, Kylie Bishop, and Meadow Morrison, and numerous other relatives, and friends.
