Dana L. Blocker

Dana Lynette Blocker was born on July 14, 1972, in Cleveland, TX to Mac Blocker Sr. and Sylvia Tilton. She passed away at her home in Sullivan, MO on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. She was raised in Tarkington Prairie, TX. Dana graduated from Tarkington High School on May 31, 1991, and in 1992, she left Texas to come to Missouri. Dana was blessed with two children, Tome and Bailey, whom she loved with all of her heart.

Dana was always taking care of others. Throughout her life, she worked as a caregiver, social worker, CNA, certified pier specialist, and a hair stylist. She liked to be on the go and enjoyed collecting purses and colored glass.

Dana was a good cook, very athletic, and at one point, she showed livestock. She enjoyed roller skating, going on float trips with her friends, fishing, and frogging. Dana will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.

Dana is survived by her two children, Tome L. Kirkland III and fiancé Tracy Glasco of Cobden, IL and Bailey R. Kirkland of St. Louis, MO; her mother, Sylvia A. Thompson and husband Cecil of Cherryville, MO; her father, Mac Blocker Sr. and wife Sissy; one brother, Mac Blocker Jr. and wife Susan of Tarkington, TX; two aunts, Sharon K. Muro and husband Philip and Pamela S. McRae and husband James; many step-brothers and sisters, along with numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Barbara (Dominy) Powell and Louise (Bullock) Blocker; and three grandfathers: Charles Blocker, L.E. Tilton, and Billie E. Powell.
