Dale Lynn Mooney

Dale Lynn Mooney, 51, of Crosby passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 5, 2010 in Dayton after an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1958 in Baytown, Texas to parents Charles S. and Imogene Chrisman Mooney. Dale graduated in 1976 from Channelview High School and served in the Naval Reserve for six years. He had been a member of Second Baptist Church in Channelview and had worked for many years as an operator at petroleum plants. Dale loved his family and enjoyed motorcycles. He was a member of the Soul Sinners Motorcycle Club. Services for Dale will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. The family will receive friends 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sons: Nick Mooney, Sr. & wife Candace of Crosby and Clayton Mooney & wife Marsha of Crosby; his sisters: Kay Stratman and husband Gary of Dayton, and Gale Stuckey and husband Steve of Dayton; grandchildren: Nick Mooney, Jr., Clarissa Mooney, Kaylie Hall, & Alissa Mooney; the mother of his children: Cynthia Nail of Crosby; also numerous other relatives and friends.
