Delbert “Stan” Stanley Oliver

D. Stan Oliver, 65 of Harleton, TX, went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Conroe, TX.

Stan was born February 9, 1953 in Anchorage, Alaska and was the son of Delbert Gentry Oliver and Wedena O’Neal Oliver.

Stan joined the U.S. Army in 1977, as he was proud to serve his Country, and that pride to serve continued after his departure from the Military as a Police Officer in Liberty, TX and then as a Deputy Constable for Harris County Pct. 3 in 1990, where he retired as Captain in February 2015.

Stan was known by most as “Stan the Man” and was also well known for helping any person no matter what without any hesitation. He loved his family and friends and was a person that we all honored, loved and looked up to. Stan will be dearly missed by all.

Stan is preceded in death by his father, Delbert “Dale” G. Oliver and son, Delbert Stanley Oliver, Jr., brothers Weldon “Don” Oliver, Raymond “Ray” Oliver and
Richard “Ricky” Oliver Stokes, nephew Jody Wayne Cox and niece Dana Lee Cox.

Stan is survived by his mother, Wedena O’Neal Oliver, son William Stanley Oliver, daughters Brandi Leigh Felder, Stefani Louise Jimenez (Vincent Jimenez), brothers Bruce Dale Oliver, Marty Dale Oliver, sisters Linda Diane Warner (Alton Warner), Belinda Lee Oliver, Angela Marie Soliz, Joy Lee Mizell (Steve Mizell), Gwendolyn Monette Haver, grandchildren, Tyler Legg, Crysta Long (Jacob Long), Aaron Jimenez, Jessica Kirchner, Ricky Kirchner, Amber Jimenez, Abigayle Felder, Christian Felder and great grandchild, Collin Long.

Funeral services are Saturday, September 15, 2018 and will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home located at 1304 N Cleveland St., Dayton, Texas 77535. The family will receive friends starting at 2:30pm with the services beginning at 3:00pm.

Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton, Texas.
