Cristian Guillermo Contreras

Cristian Guillermo Contreras, 30, of Houston, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2024. Born on March 15, 1994, in Houston, Cristian was the cherished son of Guillermo Contreras and Lucy Salazar.

Raised in Liberty and later moving to Angleton, Cristian graduated with the Angleton High School Class of 2013. Driven by a sense of duty, he joined the U.S. Army in 2014 and proudly served his country until 2017. His commitment to service and his compassionate spirit were evident to all who knew him.

Cristian was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, playing video games, and spending time with friends. Among his happiest moments were those spent with his sisters and family, where his love and laughter were always present.

Cristian is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Luis Rico. He is survived by his parents, Guillermo Contreras and wife Jessica, and Lucy Rodriguez and husband Francisco. He is also mourned by his grandmothers, Ignacia Rico and Lubia Iduarte; grandfather, Fernando Contreras; and his cherished sisters, Ashtyn Contreras, Analyssa Rodriguez, Frankie Rodriguez, Amelia Contreras, Katelyn Contreras, and Isabella Contreras. Cristian is further survived by his cousin, Angel Iduarte, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a service following at 11:00 a.m. Cristian will be laid to rest at Palms Cemetery in Dayton.

Cristian’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, his unwavering spirit, and the deep love he had for those around him.
