Connie loved life and laughing and always enjoyed having fun with her friends. She was a great cook who loved to have barbeques. She especially wanted her family around for get-togethers and everything was always home- made. She even tried to teach Gale and Howard to make tamales when Gale was 8 years old and at the same time was chasing Greg around the kitchen.
Connie was an affectionate person and her parents were very important to her. She often help them out caring for her younger siblings.
Connie’s companionate nature led her to begin studying nursing in her early 30’s. Comforting her patients brought her much joy. Her nursing expertise came in handy when her husband Jack became ill.
When Jack died she worried about where he was and what happened to him, since he had never been baptized. She said she was upset over “a good man having no hope”.
In 2013, one of Jehovah’s Witnesses came to her door. Connie learned that the dead are in God’s memory and will live again, just as God purposed from the beginning. She was relieved to learn of the Bible’s promise of a paradise earth, and the hope that she would be reunited with Jack again. She confident their family would be together once again.
Connie was so proud of the children and grandchildren. She was always talking about them. Her desire was that the whole family learn Bible truths.
