Collins E. Morris, Jr., 74, of Willis, died Thursday, March 22, 2012, at the Magnolia Place Nursing Home in Liberty. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Collins was born February 18, 1938 in Bedias, to parents; Collins E., Sr. and Winnie Powledge Morris, a former resident of Pasadena, and has resided in the Willis area for the past 17 years. He was a retired operator from the Ethyl Corporation of Pasadena, member of the Pasadena Masonic Lodge # 1155 AF & AM, and member of the First United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working, travel, and playing cards. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Judy Carter Morris of Willis, daughters: Susan Garcia and husband Ray of Dayton, Sharon Bullion and husband Edgar of Trinity, and Julie Reagan and husband Kevin of Conroe, brothers: Dennis Morris of Humble and Leon Morris of Humble, 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
