Cody Copeland

Cody Lee Copeland, 28, of Dayton passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 in Houston, Texas.



Visitation for Cody will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Dayton. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Center Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas at 3:00 p.m.

Cody was born January 3, 1988 in Channelview, Texas to parents, Joe Paul Copeland and Fawn Cecile Thomas Copeland. He was a lifelong resident of Dayton and 2006 graduate of Dayton High School. Cody also attended Lee College. He enjoyed racing dirt bikes, fishing, hunting, shooting, surfing and riding his skateboard. He love his music. Most of all he loved being a father to his son Joe Paul. Cody will always be loved and missed by all that knew him.

Cody was preceded in death by his father, Joe Paul Copeland, his grandparents, Damon Thomas, Sr., Clarence and Mary Currie Copeland. He is survived by son, Joe Paul Copeland, II of Dayton; the mother of his son, Ciara Bullard of Dayton; his mother, Fawn C. Thomas Copeland of Dayton; sister, Kayla Copeland Jones and husband Joshua of Dayton; brother, Caleb James Copeland and wife Taelor of Dayton; niece, Layla Copeland and nephew, Jase Jones; his grandmother, Betty Thomas of Huntsville; also numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
