Cleatus Ray “Pinto” Beene, 82, of Dayton, Texas passed away February 17, 2018 at home. He was born July 4, 1935 in Gonzales, Texas to parents, Barney and Ozella Clutter Beene.
Services for Mr. Beene will be 12 noon, Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Gerald and Frances Wall officiating. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Humble, Texas. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are John Beene, Lenny Butler, Ryan Beene, Justin Colling, Melvin Beene, and Steve Higginbotham
Mr. Beene was a long time resident of Brazoria before moving to Dayton 10 years ago. He was a member of the VFW Post 5621 and the Lions Club. He enjoyed country music and was a Nascar fan but most of all he was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather.
Cleatus was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Sherry Beene; sons, Robert Keener and wife Jodi, Darrien Beene, Kevin Beene and wife Pam; daughter, Brandy Beene and boyfriend Chris Slaughter; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and his special dog, Little Bit; also numerous other family members and friends.
