Christine Rustin Rhodes, 77 of Kingwood died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday July 12, 2014, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel Cleveland with burial following at Ryan Cemetery in Tarkington Prairie. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland. Christine was born April 3, 1937 in Houston, a former resident of Jasper TX, and has resided in Kingwood for the past 5 years. She was a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School class of 1956 and a homemaker. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, fishing, hunting, crocheting, sewing, canning, gardening, playing dominos and spending time with her family. Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her husband, Hankins Hoil Rhodes and parents, Jimmy Rustin and Bessie Jean Rustin. She is survived by her: sons Charles Russell Rhodes, David Randall Rhodes, daughter: Kathy Christine Rhodes Witmer, sister: Earline Holland, grandchildren: Jason Theriot, Nathan Birdsong, Christopher Rhodes, Audrey Rhodes, Amanda Rhodes, also numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
