Christine Mckinnon

Christine McKinnon, age 93 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born August 8, 1922 in Ector, Texas to parents D.T. and Clara Boyd who preceded her in death along with her son, Lester Lynn Murdoch; and husband, Joy Frank McKinnon.

Christine graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in 1943. She loved to cook, was very active in the Deaf Community and a member of the Houston Senior Citizens for the Deaf.

Survivors include her daughter, Janice Caraway and husband Robbie; grandchildren, Brian Southwell, Lisa Moltz and husband Buddy, Max Allen Murdoch and wife Alma, and Julie Aycock; twelve great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at Woodhaven Baptist Church for the Deaf, 9920 Long Point Road, Houston, Texas 77005. The visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. preceding the service. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Coldspring, Texas.
