Christie Elaine Perkinson Holloway, 66, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at her home. She was born July 1, 1951 in Terre Haute, Indiana to her late parents, William Perkinson and Mary Shirar Perkinson.
Christie was raised in Paris, Illinois, had previously resided in Houston for 10 years and had lived in Dayton for the last 36 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dayton and enjoyed sewing and ceramics and most of all the time she spent with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Kaydon Carson, and a sister Carolyn Ferguson.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Harry Holloway of Dayton; children, Dr. Toilynn Carson of Dayton and Trent Holloway and his wife Crystal of Kingwood; brother, William “Bill” Perkinson and his wife Nelda of Longville, Louisiana; grandchildren, Makayla Carson, Braydon Carson,Cameron Holloway, Lacey Holloway and Katelynn Holloway and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Dayton with Rev. Randy Piatt and Rev. Henry Malone officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the Laran Cemetery in Farmerville, Louisiana with Rev. Henry Malone officiating.
Pallbearers will be Todd Holloway, Cameron Holloway, Tim Holloway, Braydon Carson, Jeff LaCaze, Derek Daniels and Don Campbell.
