Charlie Mack Hodges, age 87 of Coldspring, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020. He was born July 8, 1932 in Wellington, Texas to parents Clarence and Helen Hodges who preceded him in death.
Charlie was a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War. In March of 1956 he became a Texas Department of Public Safety Officer. Then in 1968 he became a Texas Ranger serving in Company E in Midland and retired in 1987. He worked for the Midland County Sheriffs Office for over 5 years. Then went on to work for the U.S. Marshals Service in 1995 doing court security until 2002.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Tommie Hodges; sons, Leslie Hodges and Linden Hodges; brother, Bob Hodges; sister, Reba Jo Thornton; grandchildren, Charlie Hodges and Jessie Hodges; along with six great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2020 at Pace Stancil Chapel, Coldspring, Texas with a graveside service to follow starting at 1:30 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2020 at Pace Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.
