Charlie J. Anders, 69, of Dayton, died, Monday, May 3, 2010, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 2010 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with graveside services at noon, Friday, at the San Jacinto Memorial Park Cemetery in Houston. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Charlie was born September 11, 1940 in Harlingen, to parents; Palmer and Mary Clark Anders, and has been a long time resident of the Dayton area. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired boilermaker from Mundy Corporation of Pasadena after 27 years of employment. He also enjoyed horses, sports, helping others, and especially spending time with family and friends. Mr. Anders was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Walter, Harold, and J. P. Anders. He is survived by his daughters: Beverly Schoenberg and husband Randy of Dayton, Sherry Rieck and husband Keith of Canyon Lake, Mary Caruso and husband Jason of Canada, Vanessa Melvin and husband Mike of Dayton, and Monica Anders and husband Daniel of Dayton, son: Jimmy Anders of Beach City, sisters: Betty Lou Williams of Cloverleaf, Delva Jean Roach of Dayton, and Billie Joyce Baker of Baytown, brothers: Donnel Anders of Houston, Marvin Anders of Houston, and Michael Anders of Dayton, 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
