Charles Ray Bass

Charles Bass was born March 10, 1950 in Cleveland, Texas to Izer Netter Davison and Herman Bass. He passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at the age of 73. 

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Izer Netter Davison and Herman Bass; daughter Yulanda Mikle; granddaughters Yasmine Williams and Tarnesha Thomas; and great-granddaughter Ja Tavia Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 47 years Erma Bass; two beautiful daughters, Malinda Bass-Knepper (Daniel Knepper) of Rye, Texas and Brandy Bass-Rogers (Clifford Rogers, Sr.) of Clinton, Maryland; two beautiful step-daughters, Tina Mikle Stone of Cleveland, Texas and Tammy Mikle of Cleveland, Texas; 15 wonderful grandkids; 10 siblings, 26 great grandkids and a host of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 5pm – 8pm at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas. Funeral services for Charles will be on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11:00am at New Bethel Baptist Church in Cleveland. Burial will follow at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens.
