Charlie was born in Longview, Texas on July 19, 1949 to parents, Hansen Cornelius Andrews and Georgia Rosene Bailey Andrews. He was a Bridge Foreman for the railroad; and a member of the Liberty Christian Fellowship Church. He found great joy in cooking; family gatherings were made tastier with Charlie’s BBQ. When Charlie cooked, it turned out to be so much he called in his church family. When he wasn’t cooking he was playing magic tricks for his family and friends; during Christmas time he was the official Santa Clause for his grandchildren and loved every minute of it. He also had an art for wood working. He enjoyed making beautiful and meaningful plaques for his family and friends. His family was the light of his life; he will be remembered lovingly. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Charlotte Gay Whitener-Andrews; children, Charlie Andrews and wife, LaQuisha, Melissa Andrews Guy, Jay McClain, Allison McCowan and husband, Travis, Nancy McClain; Andy McClain and wife, Kristin; Caren Dodd; sisters, Connie Spann, Debbie Snyder and husband, Jimmy; brother, Ricky Andrews and wife, Gladys; grandchildren, Taylor Andrews, Adam Guy, Bryce Guy, Forrest Andrews, Baleigh Andrews, Victoria McClain, Camden Gates, Andrew McClain, Jack McCowan, Ryan Dodd, Rachel Dodd, and Garret Dodd; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other treasured family members and faithful friends.
