Charles Pharris

Charles David Pharris, age 77, of Spring, Texas, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born in Salmon, Texas on September 12, 1932 to parents, Edward Clendon and Irene Beatrice Pharris who preceded him in death along his brother, Kenneth Pharris and wife, Beverly; sister, Jackie Sullivan and husband, Glenn; nieces, Carol McComb, Joy Jackson Cole, Kelley (Moore) Pharris, Tiffnie Venable; nephew, Donald Pharris. Survivors include his loving wife, Evelyn Pharris; daughters, Elisa Pharris and husband, Mike Smith, Renee Dennison; grandchild, Joshua Smith; great-grandchild, Brandtyn David Smith; brothers, Joe Ed Pharris and wife, Betty, Robert Pharris and wife, Emma Jean, Gene Pharris and wife, Donna, Russell Pharris and wife, Mary; sisters, Ernestine Oaks, Nell Jackson and husband, Bill, Maurine Smith and husband, Elbie; 12 nephews, 14 nieces, numerous great-nephews and nieces; many other cherished family members and treasured friends throughout the years. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Pace-Stancil Chapel, Cleveland, Texas. Visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Farley Chapel Cemetery, Shepherd, Texas. Pallbearers include Mark Pharris, Tracy Pharris, Randel Fry, Dwayne Fry, Johnny Pharris, Steven Pharris, Russell Pharris; honorary pallbearers include David Herrod, James Herrod, Mike Smith, and Jesse Smith.
