Charles Lee Dark

Charles Lee Dark, 96, of Cleveland, died Monday, June 2, 2014, in Cleveland. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, at First United Methodist Church in Cleveland with burial following at the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 East Crockett, Cleveland. Charles was born, March 30, 1918 in Winnfield, Winn Parish, Louisiana to his parents, Clarence Lee Dark and Eugenia Sowers Dark. Mr. Dark was a longtime resident of Cleveland where he was owner and operator of a retail business. Charles served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mr. Dark was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Lee Dark and Eugenia Sowers Dark; his wife, Cecelia Faye Russell Dark; daughter-in-law, Peggy Bear Dark and great-granddaughter, Riley Ann Dark. He is survived by his children: Charles Kent Dark and wife, Claire, Russell Lee Dark and wife, Jeannette, Martha Louise Dark Bounds and husband, Craig; grandchildren: Jeremy Dark and wife, Kami Marissa Johnson and husband, Robert, Lauren Bounds, Jonathan Dark and wife, Jana Kimberly Barnett and husband, Mark, Benjamin Dark, Andrew Bounds and wife, Abby Rachel Barron and husband, Julio, Ryan Bounds and wife, Lauren, and Elaina Dark; great-grandchildren: Robert, Jr., Lexy, Peggy, Camryn, Karlee, Chloe, Brynlee, Jackson,Sypris, Braden, Creed, and Carson.
